FolioStop Help

The 14-day free trial is designed to give you the opportunity to road test our editing software and FolioStop websites before committing to signing up. There is no obligation to proceed after the trial has expired and we will not take any financial information from you during this free trial. In order to sign up for the free trial, complete this free trial form.

Once you've completed the free trial form you'll be able to download our editing software (FolioEdit) and begin customising your website - you'll have access to the same FolioStop features as a fully signed up account holder. Use this 'Help' section to help you get to grips with our user friendly edit tools.

Towards the end of the 14 days, we will send an email notifying you that the period is drawing to a close. This email will also contain a link to 'My Account' where you can become a subscriber and keep your site active. If you don’t do this your account will expire and will go offline after a further 14 days, so you'll have plenty of time to sort things out. We will keep your website safe for a 90 day period should you decide to get it up and running again.

Once you complete the free trial form we will send you a welcome email confirming your log in details. You will also be given a link which you need to click on to activate your account. This is an important step as it allows you to confirm that the email address you have provided is correct.

Once you have clicked the activation link in the email, we will send you another email to confirm that your account is now active. You will then be able to log into 'My Account' where you can download and install FolioEdit, the user-friendly editing software unique to FolioStop.

That's it! You can log in to FolioEdit and start building your website. See other entries in this help site for more information.

To log in to FolioEdit, look for the FolioStop application icon on your desktop. If you have a PC it will look like this:



Double click this icon to open FolioEdit and you will be presented with the following login screen:



Account Name is the name of your FolioStop site that you chose when you signed up.
Enter this along with your email address and your chosen password, then click LOGIN, in the bottom right. This login button will only become active when you have completed all 3 fields.

If you forget your password you can request a new one by clicking on FORGOTTEN PASSWORD and following the instructions.

Please note: each time you log in, FolioEdit automatically checks for updates to the application. If it finds an update it will automatically install this update before you can continue. This is important to make sure that the functionality of FolioEdit is up to date and will work correctly.

If you’ve forgotten your password simply click the FORGOTTEN PASSWORD button on the log-in window which will then change as shown below:

Enter your registered email address and click SUBMIT.

We will email you a link to reset your password to a new one of your choosing.

Once you have successfully logged in, you will see the main FolioEdit window below, from which you control everything to do with your site.





On opening the main FolioEdit window for the first time, you will see an animation that will show you how to begin adding content to your website. This animation will disappear as soon as you begin editing.

To immediately preview your new website, click on VIEW YOUR WEBSITE in the top left of the main FolioEdit window. This will open your browser and display your website.

To get straight to this Help site click on HELP in the top right.

Once you have completed the free trial form and also Activated Your Account, your new website will be ready for you to start building.

You will be able to find your new website at this address:

http://foliostop.com/youraccountname

'youraccountname' is the name you chose when you signed up.

You can also get to your site by clicking VIEW YOUR WEBSITE on the main FolioEdit window (See the image above).
